Subject: Extremely Upset
Okay. So I've decided that I have nothing better to do with this website than to whine and complain. And since no one
seems to really care about what I have to say nowadays, I figure that it's safe to ramble on because there's no one really
listening.
So I'm really, really, really hurt. So are the other girls I know who are in flags. The band shows us absolutely no support,
even though we're just as much a part of this band as the Jazz Band. Hasn't anyone ever seen baton twirlers in a marching
band? Uh...yeah! Flags is just like that, only we have a sail on our poles. Also, flags isn't just something we made up because
we were bored. Flags is actually just as old and common as cheerleading. Ever paid any attention to the fact that when you
order a class ring, color guard can be one of the things you have put on it? The band shows no respect for us, even when we
work our butts off. They say that flags has nothing to do with band, but do they realize that when we do flags, we have to
do a lot of counting and rhythm work? We work just as hard as they do, so I think we deserve some respect too. When a horn
messes up, you can usually just blend in. But in flags, if you get off, everyone can SEE it's you who's messing up. Do you
realize how UTTERYLY EMBARRESSING that is! VERY!!!!!!!!
As of now, we're not ever sure if the flags will be performing tomorrow for the band concert. Due to lack of commitment
from some band members who agreed to be a part of the routine, plus a lack of effort from some of my fellow flag members,
we don't feel ready to perform, which is such a shame because our captains put together an AWESOME routine! I actually feel
worse for them. And it's thanks to all those you-know-whats out there. I hope you're all happy with yourselves. Afterall,
it's not like we have feelings or anything....
(Just a little update: We never did get to perform that routine)
